Welcome to Little Light Community Collective! 

We are so glad you’re here. This is a peer-led, trauma-informed space where storytelling, reflection, and lived experiences guide our community. By engaging in this space, you agree to abide by these guidelines and contribute to a supportive and safe environment for everyone.

Our Community Guidelines: 

Kindness and Respect

We approach each other with empathy, patience, and compassion. Every member’s story and experience is unique, and we honour that by engaging without judgment. Harassment, harmful language, personal attacks, or comparisons have no place here. Our words and actions shape the tone of this space, so we lead with care and respect in every interaction.

Privacy and Boundaries

Your safety—and the safety of others—is our priority. Share only what feels comfortable for you, and never share someone else’s private story or personal information without explicit permission. Respecting boundaries fosters trust and allows everyone to engage without fear.

Sensitive Content

Some topics may be triggering, distressing, or deeply personal. When sharing sensitive material, provide gentle content warnings and focus on headlines rather than detailed descriptions. Thoughtful consideration of sensitive content helps everyone participate safely, reflectively, and meaningfully.

Sharing Experiences, Not Advice

This is a peer space, not a place for professional or prescriptive advice. You are welcome to share what has helped you, but avoid telling others what they “should” do. Recognize that what works for one person may not work for another. We encourage seeking support from trained professionals when it may be needed.

Authentic Self-Expression

We celebrate the many ways members express themselves—through writing, art, voice, video, or other creative forms. Honour the ways others share, knowing that storytelling fosters connection, reflection, and understanding.

Safety and Support

A safe space is built collectively. If you encounter harmful or unsafe behaviour, please report it and let the Little Light Community Collective know. Support one another, celebrate growth, and acknowledge moments of courage—big or small. Every act of care contributes to the well-being of the community.

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA)

We honour all identities, experiences, and perspectives. Using inclusive language and ensuring accessibility helps every member feel welcomed and valued. Embracing diversity enriches storytelling and strengthens connection.

Engaging in the Space

Participate in ways that support the emotional safety and well-being of everyone. Maintain presence, respect, and confidentiality where applicable. Honour your own boundaries and those of others. Remember, this is a peer-supported environment, and each member is responsible for their own well-being.

By following these guidelines, you help create a community where members feel safe, valued, and empowered to share their stories, connect authentically, and support one another. Together, we cultivate a space rooted in healing, respect, and shared growth.
